This PR addresses a HIGH severity security issue where rate limiting was disabled. It also fixes a dependency conflict that prevented the backend from running.

Changes:

  • backend/src/app.ts: Uncommented rate limiting registration and made initialize public for testing.
  • backend/package.json: Downgraded @fastify/jwt to compatible version.
  • backend/src/shared/middleware/error.middleware.ts: Added handling for rate limit error codes.
  • backend/src/tests/rate_limit.test.ts: Added integration test for rate limiting.
  • backend/jest.config.js, backend/jest.setup.js: Added Jest configuration.
  • .jules/sentinel.md: Recorded security learnings.

PR created automatically by Jules for task 16065430083268165516 started by @Magnopiro-oficial

🚨 Severity: HIGH
πŸ’‘ Vulnerability: Rate limiting was disabled (commented out), leaving the API exposed to brute-force and DoS attacks. Additionally, `@fastify/jwt` version was incompatible with Fastify v4, preventing the application from starting.
🎯 Impact: Unrestricted API access could lead to service degradation or account compromise.
πŸ”§ Fix:
- Enabled `rateLimit` middleware in `backend/src/app.ts`.
- Updated `error.middleware.ts` to correctly handle `429` errors from the rate limiter.
- Downgraded `@fastify/jwt` to `^8.0.0` to resolve incompatibility.
- Added `backend/src/__tests__/rate_limit.test.ts` with full test setup (`jest.config.js`, `jest.setup.js`).
βœ… Verification: `cd backend && pnpm test` passes.
